What is the Early Years Area SENCo Team?

The Early Years Area SENCo Team provide support, guidance and challenge to over 250 Early Years group-based settings and registered childminders.  We promote and support early identification of needs and effective inclusive practice, enabling settings to improve outcomes for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) aged 0-5 years.

 

Who can request support from the Early Years Area SENCo Team?

Settings can make a request for Area SENCo support by calling the Area SENCo advice line (Tuesdays and Thursdays 1.30-4.30pm term time only) on 01225 396912 or by emailing area_sencos@bathnes.gov.uk.


Please note, before submitting a request for support, settings must speak to an Area SENCo via the advice line first.

 

Where can the Early Years Area SENCo Team be accessed?

Each Area SENCo covers a particular geographical area across Bath and North East Somerset.  This service can be accessed by calling the Area SENCo advice line on 01225 396912.
