About the Organisation
The Autism Education Trust training programme for professionals working in schools is delivered nationally through a network of specialist hubs. The training hub for schools in the South West is Fosse Way School.
Fosse Way School works with various organisations and services across the south west to provide trainers for the schools programme.
The training uses a range of teaching tools including video, case studies, problem solving scenarios, presentations and practical resources and activities.
There are 4 key themes running through all levels:
* Individual pupil
* Building Relationships
* Enabling environments
* Curriculum and learning
and at level 3 an additional section on Evaluation of practice. AET delegate packs are provided for all 3 levels.
How do people access your service?
For B&NES schools and academies the ASD Support Service provides this training with no charges except to cover the cost of the delegate packs and any venue costs.
Schools are encouraged to host training events and invite other school staff to attend with a small charge to cover delegate pack costs and contributions for venue and refreshments.
