More About The Organisation
About the Organisation
Openstorytellers is a charity that works to enrich and empower the lives of people who are marginalised because of learning and communication difficulties, and is co-run by people with a learning disability. We do this through varied work around the telling and sharing of stories, using a collaborative approach based on fifteen years of specialist research and pioneering practice.
We have developed a portfolio of innovative day services, courses, workshops, activities and events that help hundreds of people every year. We believe stories play a major role in building relationships and a personal sense of identity, sharing experiences and helping everyone to fully participate in society.
How do people access your service?
