More About The Organisation

Organisation Description

About the Organisation

Time2Share is a local charity supporting children and young people with disabilities and their families. The charity offers a volunteer befriending service and a range of regular social group activities, as well as holiday and family activities.

Since 1972, we have been providing a short break service to give disabled children and young people, who may be socially isolated, the extra support and stimulation they need.

We link volunteer befrienders to offer one to one support, company, independence and fuller participation in social and leisure activities. This gives their carers the opportunity to have a break which supports them to continue in their caring role.

We offer various regular social groups for young people aged 13-21 with disabilities in the area. The main aim for these groups are for us to all get together and have fun in a safe environment. We ensure that the young people that attend are planning the activities with the session workers so that each group is tailored to what the young people would like to do.
