About the Organisation
The Community Bus is a mobile project working in areas of Bath & NE Somerset where there is social deprivation and exclusion.
We reach adults and children who are geographically and socially isolated.
The converted double decker provides a safe and stimulating play environment for young children who do not have access to other play facilities. It provides a friendly meeting place for adults to share ideas and concerns.
The Community Bus stay & play sessions provide a friendly and welcoming environment for parents, carers and pre-school children to meet in and play. We provide a wide variety of toys and equipment for good quality play experiences and a relaxed atmosphere for adults to chat in. The play bus is an intimate space where children and adults feel comfortable to play and socialise.
The Bus runs sessions for families with preschoolers and babies in term-times, playschemes for 5-13 year olds in the holidays and participates in community events. Check the website for up-to-date venues and times.
