How do you aim to meet the unique needs of the child?
Action for Children offer a person-centred Transitioning service to empower young people aged between 15 and 19 with varied support needs to prepare for adulthood.
Staff at Beaumonds are all employed to ensure all disabled young people are safe when in their care. We aim to accommodate up to five young people on each course on Wednesday nights for a four-week programme which includes overnight stays during term time specifically looking at social transitional needs from child hood into adulthood.
Stay in a fully equipped house with your own bedroom and shared facilities
How do you promote positive relationships and ensure good, ongoing communication with families?
At Action For Children we ensure families are always informed and encouraged to engage right from the start of the course. Beaumonds plan to ensure the information, successes and outcomes are continued by inclusion within EHC Plans to enable the young person to fully develop skills that have been gained from our service.
We promote positive relationships by giving opportunities to develop social skills, mixing with new friends and providing fun inclusive activities and workshops.
