About the Organisation
AVoice is a new advocacy service run by The Care Forum in partnership with SEAP (Support, Empower, Advocate, Promote) and SARI (Stand Against Racism and Inequality).
AVoice provides free, independent and confidential advocacy for vulnerable adults affected by crime and antisocial behaviour in the Avon and Somerset area.
AVoice advocates can help individuals:
understand the criminal justice process and their rights within it
access services to help them cope and recover from the crime
explore their options with them and support their decision-making
get practical help from other agencies by working with them on their behalf
make informed decisions by offering guidance and information
get their voice heard.
AVoice will also advocate for victims of crime and antisocial behaviour who have not reported it to the police.
AVoice can advocate for an individual if they are over 18 and have become a victim of crime and antisocial behaviour and they live in Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, North Somerset, Somerset or South Gloucestershire and have issues with their mental health, learning disabilities, physical disabilities or has become a victim because of their age, race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion or belief.
