About the Organisation

Time2Share@WECIL offers a variety of services to disabled children and young people in Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset. WECIL is a local charity run by and for disabled people in Bristol and the surrounding areas.
Our Befriending service links volunteer befrienders with a disabled young person to go out and about or offer 1:1 support in the home. This offers an opportunity for carers to have a break which supports them to continue in their caring role. We are currently carrying out assessments with family's following the recent C19 restrictions to ensure any 1:1 support we deliver is safe.
We also offer social groups for children and young people with disabilities in Saltford (age 8-13) and Radstock (age 13-21) Groups run during term time only and we will be adding details of these onto the calendar once the new school year resumes.

Additional and Special Educational Needs

How do you aim to meet the unique needs of the child?

Time 2 Share provides short breaks for disabled young people and their families. Our volunteer befrienders offer one-to-one support for social and leisure activities in Bath, North East Somerset and Bristol.
Since 1972 we have been providing a short break/befriending service to give disabled children and young people, who may be socially isolated, the extra support and stimulation they need. We link volunteer befrienders to offer 1:1 support, company, independence and fuller participation in social and leisure activities. This gives their carers the opportunity to have a break which supports them to continue in their caring role.
