How do you aim to meet the unique needs of the child?
All children have individual needs and learning targets.
Children identified with SEN will have additional support to meet their needs as part of the school’s Provision Map/IEPs and/or Education Health Care Plan.
Where necessary the school will engage will outside agencies and specialist teachers.
The school will always work in partnership with parents to ensure the best possible support for each individual child.
How do you promote positive relationships and ensure good, ongoing communication with families?
Parent’s evenings twice a year with a yearly report for all children
Additional parent’s evenings for children with SEN are held termly to review their progress and action plans.
Class teachers are always available to discuss queries and concerns.
In some circumstances a Home/School liaison book is used to communicate progress.
Additional consultation, support and advice from the SENCO, Deputy and Head teacher are also available where appropriate.
