Children with disabilities and other special needs & their parents
Additional and Special Educational Needs
How do you aim to meet the unique needs of the child?
Lessons are led by an experienced physiotherapist with additional training in teaching swimming with disabled & special needs children. Parents discuss the particular needs of their child with the physiotherapist and the teaching is tailored accordingly.
How do you promote positive relationships and ensure good, ongoing communication with families?
There is a good camaraderie during the sessions so parents are able to give each other mutual support. Parents are also encouraged to discuss with the physiotherapist any ongoing concerns.
